Development Worker – Dublin South West & Kildare
Originally from Romania, Bibiana lives in Ireland since 2003 and has worked as a Manager in the health and fitness industry for almost a decade. Prior to joining Sage she engaged in numerous voluntary projects at community level in the South Dublin area, acting in a variety of roles, such as Campaign Assistant, Event Coordinator, Public Relations Officer and Advocate.
Bibiana has obtained qualifications in Social Work & Theology (1998), Business Studies (2006) and Information, Advice & Advocacy Practice (2015). She also holds a BSc (Hons) in Sociology & Political Theory from Al. I. Cuza University (2002) and a Master of Social Science (Human Rights & Social Policy) from Maynooth University (2015).
Bibiana actively supports and promotes an active retirement group in west Dublin since January 2015. She has acted as a liaison person between this organisation, statutory services and wider community groups, seeking to promote and enhance the role of older people at a social and practical level within their own community.
Bibiana is a member of the Irish Gerontological Society and her main areas of interest are Advocacy, Social Gerontology, Community Development and Qualitative Social Research.
