Empowering new rights regime for older people

The new regime allowing older people to set down how they want to be cared for if they can no longer make decisions for themselves is simpler, broader and more empowering, according to Sage Advocacy vice-chairwoman, Patricia Rickard-Clarke. Ms Rickard-Clarke was speaking in an article for the Irish Times, in which she expressed her backing of the new digital-first process for enduring power of attorney; a source of recent dispute between the Law Society and Decision Support Service.
